liver-loafIt’s getting harder and harder to find this stuff anymore. I grew up eating liver loaf a lot and I still love it. This came from my good friends Charles and Becky King at King’s Grocery and Meat Mkt. in Brownwood. They still slice it from a big slab to just the thickness you prefer. I always get mine a little on the thick side so I don’t have to use 2 slices on my sandwich. The liver loaf at Kings is bigger around than most places also. Each slice hangs out over the sides of a sandwich but that’s not a problem. The white outer ring easily pulls of so you can wind it around on top of the liver. I lather up both slices of the bread with Mayonnaise and add a slice of JalapeƱo Jack cheese (also from King’s) and I have a sandwich “Fit For A King”.
